SDA Performing Arts is home to some of the entertainment’s industries best performers. All our performers are highly skilled and trained in what they do. Charlotte Haughton (BA Hons, PGCE, IDTA)

Owner and Producer

If you’re looking for a professional business women who really knows how to get the job done, look no further. With years of experience and in both production and performing, Charlotte will not stop until success is achieved.

Charlotte started dancing at the age of 3 years old, since then she has gone on to perform on several stages across the North West and traveled internationally to perform in events such as Mardi Gras in Disney Land Paris. After graduating from University Charlotte decided to further her career by completing a PGCE in Dance Performance and Teaching allowing her to teach students aged 16 and above in Further Education. However, the hard work does not stop there for Charlotte at just 16 years of age, Charlotte Completed her IDTA Teaching Training in Freestyle Dance, which gave her the opportunity to open up her own dance classes, forming Signature Dance Academy.

Charlotte has experience in both teaching and performing, at the age of 18 years old, like very teenager she started to experience going out to nightclubs, this was the first time seeing a 'Go Go Dancer'. Charlotte knew this was something she could do so started making connections in the industry and became a performer at several nightclubs within Manchester. Since then, Charlotte has also trained in Fire Performing and Breathing which has enabled her to further her skill set and bookings, she became more independent with bookings and started to see a pattern in her bookings that needed more than just herself as a performer- This is where SDA Performing Arts was then formed, Charlotte intially asked a small group of her performer friends to help out with some of the bookings she had taken on, however over time, these bookings became more regular and Charlotte knew it was time to upskill, therefore, SDA Performing Arts was formed, combining the dance school and performance agency. SDA Performing Arts now has over 100 performers with several different skill sets and from all over the country, ready to provide entertainment to your events!
